On behalf of the Class of 2000

The Mech HOD Prof. M. Ayyappan, the driving force behind many constructive efforts, mentioned that we should also consider donating book shelves also in future.

Prof. Varkey Philip accepted our invitation and graced the occassion in his own inimitable way. We thank him for taking time for us, inspite of his busy schedule as the Principal of the College of Engineering, Barton Hill and also for a life's work in molding engineers in four years; gentlemen and ladies for life(He retired recently.)

Prof. S. Sivakumar was working with us throughout effort, right from organizing the ceremony to acquiring books. Thank you sir, for the great lessons in class and greater ones outside it.

Prof. Rajendra Babu kindly consented to inaugurated the library. Thank you sir, for taking time and helping us in our efforts. He suggested that we should broaden our horizons and consider helping the Central Technical library also.

Dr. B. Anil, in addition to giving a nice talk, donated books worth Rs. 3000 to the library to encourage more faculty donations. Anil sir was also working with us throughout the project. Thank you sir, for the giving us guidance and teaching us the concept of leading by example.
